The SmartPlug is simple to install if you are comfortable cutting electrical wires and reconnecting them. The screw holes line up with existing inlet holes so you will not have to drill new holes into your RV. If you choose a complete kit, you will have to cut wires in the inlet and in your power cable, but we provide video installation guides in the TechnoRV Learning Series to help with this if you are not comfortable. You could also have a professional install it, if desired. To avoid cutting your cable head, you could purchase the entire SmartPlug cable as well.
