Micro-Air 364 installation kit designed for any rooftop A/C. Not every wiring diagram you find on the Micro-Air site requires every component sent to you. It depends on the model of your A/C unit. This convenient kit contains the components most often required. The EasyStart 364 Installation Kit comes with: * Various crimp terminals for wiring in your EasyStart™ * 3M Double-Stick Foam tape * Plastic bushing (split) * Extra #14 AWG wire (for pigtail from relay, if applicable) * Tie wraps
Yes, but you must exercise some fairly strict power management practices since many A/Cs can consume 1700-1900W in hot weather. Also, the Honda EU2000i may not have enough power at or above 4000' altitude. (Rejetting the carburetor may extend this higher.) We have many satisfied EasyStart customers using this Honda generator with all brands of rooftop air conditioners. EasyStart starts and runs these compressors even with the generator's ECO mode turned on.
EasyStart has been tested with a few good quality inverters and has been successful in quite a few customer installations. EasyStart reduces starting current to less than twice the running current of the compressor, so EasyStart works perfectly in a well-designed system.
There are some things to have in place before you get on your roof and begin installing your EasyStart. You’ll need some small items to help with installation. We offer EasyStart's Installation Kit on our site, or you can create your own. The installation kit includes various crimp terminals for wiring in your EasyStart, 3M Double-Stick Foam tape, plastic bushing (split), extra #14 AWG wire (for pigtail from relay, if applicable), and tie wraps.
Yes, you will need a EasyStart installed on any AC unit that you want to run on less power. If you have 3 ACs, you can choose to install a EasyStart on only 2 as long as you only use those 2 units when connected to 30A power.
If you are comfortable getting on your RV roof and working with electrical wires, you should be able to install the SoftStart without professional help. TechnoRV sends a Learning Series after purchase with links to wiring diagrams for all major AC models.
