Why Did We Choose VisionWorks Over Furrion Rear Observation Cameras?
So your RV came with a Furrion Pre-Wired Mount for a Rear Observation Camera, and you are trying to decide which camera you need. We've been there before and tested many brands, but it came down to only 2 choices for us - VisionWorks and Furrion.
We compared the Rear Observation Systems from both VisionWorks and Furrion to decide which camera to use with our RV. Without a doubt, VisionWorks outperformed Furrion in not only features, but also the overall build of the metal camera versus Furrion's plastic camera. Their cameras were first designed for the agriculture industry so they were built to withstand much harsher conditions than just the open road. Over the years, they have attended countless RV rallies gaining insight into what RVers want in a rear camera system, and they recently came out with their Gen 2 Wireless Rear Observation Camera Systems which are leaps and bounds above the competition.
VisionWorks outperformed on wireless range which was the main issue we had with all other camera systems. We originally tested it on the back of our Jeep which was towed behind our 40-foot motorhome and never lost signal to the monitor. We don't usually drive at night, but we were shocked at the clear and bright image we had at night on VisionWorks compared to the Furrion. Finally, the fact that VisionWorks offers 2 more years of warranty than the Furrion sealed the deal for us.
Not only do they have a superior product, but Visionworks is also a customer-oriented US company that always strives to meet the needs of RVers. VisionWorks stands behind their products, and they go above and beyond for customers who have any issues with their systems. They even designed a 7-Way Power Adapter when they realized some of the newer trucks don't provide the power trailers needed to operate a rear camera. They don't just listen to issues - they solve them!
We've been working with them for 4 years now, and love the care they show to our customers. Check out the VisionWorks and Furrion comparison below and decide for yourself which camera comes out on top.
