GasStop™ is the only emergency 100% shut-off safety device for bottled and portable propane systems with ACME type connections. In the event of a major leak, GasStop™ will instantly and automatically shut off the flow of gas. This device is designed for DOT propane bottles in your RV. If you have a propane leak in your RV, there is no device that will completely stop the flow of propane into your RV until now. The existing OPD and excess flow valves on a propane tank will not 100% shut the propane off should you have a leak. When you use the GasStop device, you will have 100% confidence that if you have a propane leak the propane will be shut off from your RV immediately. INSTALLATION is very easy. All you do is install the GasStop device directly to the propane tank, and then attach your RV propane line to the GasStop device. Now just prime the GasStop device and you are instantly protected. Remember, if you have 2 propane tanks, you will need to get 2 GasStop devices. GasStop™ is also very useful in helping you detect that minor leaks that occur anywhere in your propane network. When you buy from TechnoRV we will make sure you understand how easy it is to use the device and to understand how to use it as a leak detector.

GasStop will completely (100%) and automatically shut off the supply of propane in the event of a major leak or catastrophic regulator failure. The excess flow valve is essentially a spring-loaded cylinder that acts only if the flow is over 200,000 BTUs/hr. If the flow is over this amount, the valve is triggered and stops 75-90% of the propane flow. So, what about the remaining 10-25% that is not stopped? This propane still flows and can quickly fill the RV up if there is a major leak, so it does not offer the level of protection needed in RVs.
For an increased level of propane monitoring, we recommend the Mopeka Propane Monitor. The Mopeka Propane Monitor is a sensor that monitors the level of propane you have remaining in your tanks and shows it on a phone app, so you never have to run out of propane in the middle of the night again! It is simple to install the heavy-duty magnetic monitoring device on your propane tank, and the app shows you your current propane level in the tank, with updates every 5 minutes.
GasStop can be used with any automatic or manual changeover gas pressure regulator, as long as it is rated at 1.5kg/h and up to 20” W.C. You’ll need to install a GasStop on each tank attached to the changeover device so both tanks are protected.
In addition to shutting your propane off in the event of a major leak, the GasStop device can be used to check for minor leaks in your RV. It’s a simple process and takes only 5 minutes. This is something you could do every time you set up your RV to ensure nothing happened within your propane system while traveling. We provide detailed instructions on how to do a leak test in the Learning Series you receive after purchase.
